As an artist in residence, I used my time on the TRG3 programme to produce and develop a project of work investigating ‘what something is’ or ‘what constitutes that thing’.                       

The subject of this work was the gallery rooms themselves that were available to me, visitors would encounter artworks of and about their immediate environment.


Images are grouped together thematically, but in a total running order to represent the entire progress of the project until the end of the residency.


Indexing: the entire material contents (architectural elements and fixtures) of Gallery 3 and the Education Room were listed alphabetically, each items’ corresponding number (derived from its place in the list) was then applied to the item itself, this was accompanied by, in each room, an audio work of that index being read out.
